Clearing the dry dirt away, you catch sight of a blue stone concealed within the soil. You gingerly pull it from its resting place and brush away the dust revealing a piece of lapis lazuli carved to resemble a Khepra Beetle. It may have been dropped by a passing force of the Tomb King's army, for they tirelessly patrol the Nikosi Highlands in search of intruders.
The Khepra Beetle has long been revered by the people of Nehekhara. Its carapace resembles nothing less than a human skull, and its appetite for flesh is legendary. Despite its sinister nature and appearance, the Khepra is viewed as a symbol of rebirth, renewal, and resurrection.
